Each house is led by a dedicated team of student leaders, including a House Captain, Vice-Captain, Perfect, and House In-Charge, who oversee various affairs among students and teachers. These student leaders play a crucial role in maintaining discipline, organizing activities, and promoting the values of teamwork and sportsmanship within their respective houses.
Our students are the shining stars of SLPS, and each house is named after a distinguished figure who exemplifies excellence and leadership:
i. Shivaji House: Named after the legendary Indian warrior king, Shivaji House embodies the spirit of courage, resilience, and leadership.
ii. Tagore House: Named in honor of Rabindranath Tagore, the Nobel laureate poet, Tagore House celebrates creativity, artistic expression, and cultural diversity.
iii. Ashoka House: Inspired by the great Indian emperor Ashoka the Great, Ashoka House stands for peace, tolerance, and social responsibility.
iv. Raman House: Named after the eminent physicist Sir C.V. Raman, Raman House symbolizes scientific inquiry, curiosity, and innovation.
Through the house system, students at SLPS have the opportunity to showcase their talents, develop leadership skills, and build lifelong friendships. One unique aspect of our school is the composition of the School Management Committee (SMC), where members are leading specialists in their respective fields. This distinguished panel of experts brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and insights to the governance and strategic direction of the school.
Having specialists from diverse fields on the SMC allows for comprehensive decision-making and effective oversight across various aspects of school operations, including academic curriculum, extracurricular activities, infrastructure development, and student welfare.
